The very birth of Sunway Group in 1974 was founded on the concept of sustainable development. It began with the development of Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, a tin-mining wasteland to an integrated smart and sustainable township. Today, we are one of Southeast Asia’s leading conglomerates with core interests in real estate, construction, education, healthcare, retail, and hospitality. With a track record spanning over 40 years, we are capable of tailoring fully integrated and cost-effective solutions for our clients, delivering effective design-and-build services as well as control over timely delivery and quality. Our completed projects include significant landmarks and projects namely Legoland Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, government buildings in Putrajaya, the Kajang-SILK Highway and Malaysia’s first dedicated and elevated Bus Rapid Transit system (BRT-Sunway Line). We have also undertaken projects beyond local borders by venturing into Singapore, India, the Middle East, Myanmar and the Caribbean regions.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we were one of the pioneers that embarked on the use of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), or most commonly known as Building Information Modeling (BIM). VDC enables the construction of a digital building model which provides tremendous savings potential, as it offers the advantage of perfecting the design, material and methods as frequently as required before actual construction begins. This also gives us a greater competitive edge and brings our operations to greater heights.

We were named Builder of the Year three times in 2003, 2005, and 2013 and Contractor of the Year in 2019 at the Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA). To date, we have garnered numerous national and international recognitions for excellent industry performance, management, safety and health, as well as quality.
