Takenaka Corporation came to Malaysia in 1981 at the invitation of Malaysia’s then Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, in line with his Look East Policy to construct the Dayabumi Office Building on a fast-track joint venture.
We were localized in 1990 under the name, TAKENAKA (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD., and are a general contractor offering Clients an integrated Design-and-Build service for all types of buildings. Our Clients range from the Government and government-linked companies to the private sector, both local and foreign. Our projects include various building types, especially recently-completed large shopping centres and factories.
TAKENAKA (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. takes full responsibility to ensure all delivered services, especially the quality of completed buildings, meet contractual and statutory requirements, including environmental regulations for both conventional as well as Design-and-Build projects undertaken in the capacity of Main Contractor until the end of the defects liability period.
